Happy January lovelies! I hope all is well and you’re looking forward to what’s ahead in 2021! I don’t know about all of you, but I feel like I made it through a war in 2020. And, if we’re all the way real, 2021 is looking just as much of a doozy.
With the world continuing to be on fire, it’s challenging to find something to look forward to. It’s even harder to picture what your year will look like when you think about all of the random, tragic events that occurred last year. Before 2020 hit, many people shied away from New Year’s resolutions. Some believe that having them won’t work because people historically don’t follow through on them. However, others have seen their resolutions come to fruition and make new ones every year.
For me, I opted not to make resolutions for myself this year. While I intend to procrastinate less and take care of my mental and physical health more, I want to continue to do so every year. I’m also not going to let this year take me down like it did the year before. I’m allowing myself to realize that plans, relationships, jobs, etc., change and take both the positive and negative aspects of my life.
So, if you’ve been feeling bad about not having any resolutions for 2021, you shouldn’t. We are all still reeling from the shocking things that occurred while we were at home, processing it. All of us deserve a little grace and to take the year as it comes!
